Peoria Riverfront Musem
The Road Trip to Space program will provide as many as 1,047 fourth grade students from Peoria School District 150 with a unique opportunity to solve real world problems by using creative thinking. The fourth graders from fourteen local elementary schools are scheduled to spend three hours at the museum. During their visit, the students will participate in two creativity programs and visit our five galleries. The first program is an interactive lesson in our state of the art DOME Planetarium. The second program is a choice between an interactive workshop that teaches basic computer programming and a hands-on workshop adopted from NASA’s Engineering Design Challenge.
