Garden State Discovery Museum Center for Learning
Artology will invite first grade classes from Camden, NJ to engage in hands-on creative activities that merge content standards for both science and art. Classes will be held in the newly opened “Milly’s Which Craft Studio”, an interactive tribute to a beloved founder of the Museum, Milly Iris. Students will explore several areas of creative expressions using a variety of mediums, while learning the science behind the creation. This program provides both pre-visit and post-visit activities for teachers to use in the classroom to support the students’ trip and give them an opportunity to take their discoveries even further after leaving the Museum.
