Game of Drones is an engineering competition in which students will design palm-sized, remote-controlled quadcopters. Teams of four students in grades 6-8 will be provided with the drone motors, rotors, and circuitry and are challenged to utilize the digital fabrication tools of the Fab Lab (laser cutter and 3D printer) to develop and prototype a quadcopter chassis.  With over four weeks of engagement, student teams will have sufficient time to prototype, flight test, and redesign their drone chassis numerous times. Once assembled and fully operable, teams will compete in an aerial obstacle course competition, the “Game of Drones.”
