Cape Fear Museum of History and Science

Mystery at the Museum is a museum-wide event that inspires participants to think creatively while engaging in science, engineering, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Families and students from two underserved elementary schools examine the evidence, use scientific tools, and communicate their findings in this fictionalized mystery. This unique opportunity is a lighthearted, fun exercise that matches creative pretend play with scientific inquiry and logic. Ultimately, families and students engage with science professionals, work together to problem solve, and learn more about the world around them.
